List of Current Christmas Wishes

WISH ID: #11234
From: Hayesville, NC
Christmas Wish:“My mother is having problems with the water in her house. It stops working several times throughout the day and will stay off for around an hour at a time. This makes simple daily tasks like washing dishes, doing laundry, and even taking showers very challenging. Mom lost her job last year, and after several months of unemployment, she had to take a lower paying job. So she just simply cannot afford to pay someone a few hundred dollars to have this problem fixed, and I am not in a position to be able to help her financially … If you know someone who could do this job at a significantly discounted price, it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you and God bless.”

WISH ID: #112303
From: Hartwell, GA
Christmas Wish: “I am on disability. My wife is the only one working. A few months ago we had a flood in a wall and under the house. We had to bust a whole in the foundation to allow a way to dry things out. There is a hole about 8' X 3' that needs repairing. We can afford the materials but I am unable to do the labor. It is a small job laying 8X4X16 concrete blocks and making a 2X2 access door of 2X4s and plywood. We need this hole fixed to prevent critters from entering and to help keep heat in the house.”

WISH ID: #11232
From: Lawrenceville, GA
Christmas Wish: “I am the single mother of two middle school boys. I would like any working automobile so that I can take my children to church.I lost my job in August. I can no longer afford a car payment and we do not live on the bus line … I have been in ministry and would like to continue to be able to help others. I will use whatever auto I am blessed with to be a blessing to someone else.”

WISH ID: #112301
From: Clarkesville, GA
Christmas Wish:“I've been cleaning homes for the last 10 years. Last year, my knee injuries became too serious for me to maintain my regular routines, leaving me with a drastically reduced income. In September, I was no longer able to pay my rent and I lost my home…However, several of the families in the church have allowed me to rotate staying in their homes. Staying with these three families has been a great encouragement for me and I'm able to help them out with small lightweight chores in their homes. This has been such a blessing … Three weeks ago, my car … developed some serious mechanical problems. One of the men in our church who is a mechanic said it would cost more to repair my car than it was worth.
My Christmas Wish is to find a dependable car that can safely take me to each of the 3 houses I now call home, to doctor appointments and to church.
Thank you WRAF for having such a big heart and hosting the WRAF My Christmas Wish, and thank you for providing a wonderful ministry of music and Christian Teaching. I’m not sure I could have made it through this year without it.”

WISH ID: #112001
From: Clarkesville, GA

WISH ID: #11193
From: Canon, GA
Christmas Wish: "Me and my daughter are wanting to take some gifts to the nursing homes around our area like lotion, shampoo, conditioner, socks, for those residents that do not have family and may not get a Christmas present this year. If anyone knows how I could get some donations I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you so much...I am wanting to show my daughter just how important it is to give to those that are less fortunate then us. I want this to be a tradition that she can pass down to her kids. God is so good to us."

WISH ID: #11192
From: Walhalla, SC
Christmas Wish: "I am asking this wish for my friend. She is a single mother of two ... She needs a washing machine ... very badly. Hers broke down and she has been going to the coin laundry. If someone could repair or replace her old one, that would be great. I would like to also ask that anyone who could possibly donate {clothes for her 2 children}. The boy is 12 and the girl is 13 ... WISH ID: #111901

Do You Have A Christmas Wish? Maybe We Can Help.

My Christmas Wish from WRAF is an opportunity to meet important needs that members of our community have at this time of the year.

Maybe you have a need that one of our listeners can help fulfill.

Here's what you need to know:

Needs should be immediate and tangible. WRAF reserves the right to decide what requests get posted on this website. Requests for financial help (paying bills, helping with medical costs, etc.) will not be accepted.

Requests for Christmas toys will not be accepted. Qualifying requests include things such as auto or home needs, food, clothing, furniture, and employment. The focus is on providing products and services - not financial gifts.

We will not post your personal information on the web site or mention those details on the radio. We may alert our listeners (over the air) that there is a particular need in order to help you meet that need, but absolutely no personal info will be given on the radio.

When someone indicates that they wish to meet your need, we will give them your name and phone number. It will then be their responsibility to contact you for more information about how they can help you.

The fine print:

  • I certify that my request for help is a legitimate need.
  • I understand that having my need posted or (anonymously) mentioned on the radio does not guarantee that it will be met.
  • I understand that when someone contacts WRAF wishing to meet my need, WRAF will give them my phone number. It will be their responsibility to call me and determine if they can help.
  • After the need has been met, I will contact WRAF and tell you how things went.

Please fill out the form below to let us know that your Christmas Wish is.

Are you able to help someone fulfill their Christmas wish?
My Christmas Wish from WRAF is an opportunity to meet important needs that members of our community have at this time of the year. Maybe a single mother of 3 needs new brakes for the car and you're a mechanic who can help meet that need. There might be a family who could use a couple of bags of groceries so they can enjoy a good Christmas dinner and you would be willing to donate some food.
To see a list of current needs that people have, please click here.
We will not post your personal information on the web site or mention those details on the radio.
When someone indicates that they have a particular need, we will post that need on this website. If you can help fulfill that need, we will then give you that person's name and phone number. It will then be up to you to contact them for further details about how you can help. We will NOT pass along any of your personal information to that person.

The fine print:
  • WRAF has NOT verified the accuracy of the requests. It is your responsibility to contact the person with the need, determine its validity, decide if you wish to meet the need, and do what is required to complete the request.
  • We would appreciate it if you would report back to WRAF and let us know how the need was met.

Thank you for your willingness to help fulfill someone's Christmas wish!
